In A Floating World

“The floating world” is a Japanese phrase describing the area of town where Geisha lived with their Okaasan. This area included tea houses and shops that catered to the entertainment industry for the gentlemen who could afford such pleasures.

In a Floating World was purchased in 1998 by the Hallie Ford Museum of Art, Willamette University.
